Why are spyware and adware so deadly? Spyware programs find their way onto your computer, and then obtain information about you. They hide on your computer and kind find out information you don't want them to know by varying techniques. The threat of these programs vary. Some use them to find out how to target people with advertising, while some attempt to find credit card numbers, passwords, etc. As you can clearly see, the latter group of spyware could be extremely detrimental to you. This is why it is so necessary to check you computer for spyware on a regular basis
Adware can be different from spyware, but nowadays the two are usually bundled together, so I won't bother talking about the differences. If you want to find out more, wikipedia and google are great places to start :)
Now about getting rid of these programs. There are very many programs out there that do this, but since I'm on a Mac, I don't have much experience with them. But I'll link you to some you can try. Here's one and Here's another.

Scams are annoying

Sound familiar? Probably. These types of sites are all over the internet nowadays. Why? Because people are willing to spend money hoping to get rich quick without having to work. Welcome back to the real world people. If you want to get rich without work, try the lottery. Be very wary of pyramid schemes
Scams aren't going away anytime soon, so it's best to get used to them. Maybe "scam" is too harsh of a word. They may work, but not at all like they say they do. If something sounds too good to be true, it most likely is. Now, I'm not saying that all sites that claim that you can make money online are scams.
There are ways to make money online. One such way is by being an affiliate. A great way to learn about making money as an affiliate would be to get The Affiliate Allstar. Aaron Johnson, the author of The Affiliate Allstar, shows you how to make money being an affiliate. This great ebook is easy to understand.
